A rural venue for all occasions
Established in 2010 when we built 10 wooden camping cabins in the farm sheds over winter, Angrove Park has grown from a simple camping cabin site to a near luxury venue with exceptional facilities and the ability to adapt from a quiet family break setting or activity weekend to a bespoke venue. Situated in the stunning surroundings of the Cleveland Hills and North Yorkshire Moors, the Park is a picturesque site Ideal for those who want to experience camping without the hassle of canvas, or an event venue with on-site accommodation.
- We are directly adjacent to the Wanley to Whitby coast to coast cycle route. About half way between Barnard Castle and Whitby - approx 47 miles from Barnard Castle and approx 30 miles to Whitby. An ideal comfy stop over with secure storage for your bikes. Stay in either a cabin, bell tent or pitch your own tent with access to all the on site facilities. Groups are welcome.
- Several local walks and bike rides suitable for varying abilities.
- Conveniently located between two picturesque villages, Great Ayton 1.5 miles along the river to the East and Stokesley 1 mile to the West. Both with historic interest, Stokesley a market town and Great Ayton, the boyhood home of Captain Cook. Each situated along the river Leven, they have restaurants, coffee shops, bric-a-brac stores, as well banks, grocery shops and spa’s.
- A newly discovered aspect to our location is the relatively dark skies so coveted by astronomers. With very little light pollution there is opportunity for some excellent viewing, with the likes of Saturn and Jupiter being visible by telescope from Angrove Park itself.
